Oklahoma City train accident leaves two injured


Trains can be extremely dangerous and train accidents can lead to catastrophic injuries. A recent train derailment in Oklahoma City left two victims with injuries. Though considered non-life threatening injuries, the victims were treated at a local hospital. According to authorities, eight rail cars and two locomotives were thrown from the tracks in the derailment. An investigation into the cause of the train derailment accident is ongoing.

A look at Oklahoma car accident statistics


During 2012, there were 54,873 reported car accidents in Oklahoma. There were also a total of 228 fatal crashes in 2012. In addition, there were a total of 124,187 victims involved in car accidents during 2012. During 2013, the number of car accident increased to 54,825. There was also an increase in fatal car accidents to 239 in 2013. Overall, there were a total of 122,251 victims involved in car accidents in Oklahoma during 2013.

Fatal Oklahoma motorcycle accidents claims life of man


Fatal accident victims and their families have legal protections they should be familiar when a tragic accident occurs. An Oklahoma motorcycle accident recently claimed the life of a 52-year old man. According to authorities, a 35-year old woman was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when she struck the motorcycle carrying the victim head on. The motorcycle collision caused the woman's passenger vehicle to go into a broad slide which led to it being struck by another vehicle on its passenger side. The 35-year old woman was taken to the hospital. The 52-year old motorcycle accident victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle accident.
