Police in Oklahoma are investigating the cause of a recent crash that left several people injured. This incident occurred in Oklahoma City and involved an SUV and a school bus. Victims of car accidents such as this may be entitled to pursue damages in court.

According to a recent news report, at approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, a special needs school bus stopped on S.W. 44th in order to pick up a passenger. While stopped, an SUV struck the bus from behind. According to a video that accompanied the written report, it appeared that the driver of the SUV made no attempt to stop or slow down.

Two children on the bus were transported to medical evaluation. The driver of the SUV and a passenger in that vehicle were both transferred to a hospital in serious condition. The current conditions of all the injured parties is unknown. At this time, police have not indicated if any criminal charges are pending in this case.

If negligence is thought to have contributed to this event, the injured victims may seek compensation for their losses by filing legal claims in an Oklahoma civil court. This is true for all car accidents believed to be the result of negligence. Each victim may consult an experienced personal injury attorney in order to determine if legal actions are justified. If they are, assistance can be provided in settling claims out of court or litigating claims in a courtroom setting. Those whose cases are successfully navigated may receive monetary relief for all recoverable losses.
