Oklahoma SUV accidents injures five; inattentive driver blamed

Unfortunately, because of their relatively powerful nature and larger size, SUV accidents can cause a multitude of different types of injuries and harm. That was the case recently in a nearby Oklahoma community, located just about two hours east of Oklahoma City. The two-SUV accident left five people injured. Police and Life Flight were called to the scene of the SUV accident. According to authorities, the accident occurred when one of the SUVs made contact with the back of the other SUV, causing both SUVs to roll.

The 48-year old driver of the SUV that struck the other SUV and her 13-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital, but were noted to be in stable condition. The 57-year-old driver of the vehicle that was struck was treated and released from the hospital; his 44-year old passenger was partially ejected from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital where she was noted in stable condition. A second passenger in the vehicle that was struck, a 54-year-old man, also was treated for the injuries he suffered. According to police, the accident was caused by driver inattention.

SUV accidents can cause serious injuries and can even be deadly. Being injured by another party's negligence or carelessness can be a frustrating experience. Victims of SUV accidents can suffer serious injuries, which can lead to medical expenses, future medical costs, lost wages and lost earning capacity, as well as pain and suffering and other types of damages.

It is important in these circumstances that victims are familiar with options that the legal system provides for them to receive compensation for their damages. The harm that victims suffer in SUV accidents is enough, which is why the legal system may be able to step in and help provide resources and protections for victims who have been harmed.
