Oklahoma car accidents: Truck driver killed in wreck

An Oklahoma man recently died in an accident in Bryan County. It is said he was involved in a crash with a driver who crossed the center line on U.S. Highway 70. A total of three people, including the driver who caused the crash, were injured in the wreck as well. When car accidents happen, victims or -- in the event of a fatality -- their surviving family members may have legal recourse.

Drunk driving can have life-changing consequences

Are you or a loved one a victim of a drunk driving accident? A significant percentage of traffic accidents in Oklahoma every year involve drunk drivers -- many of them are fatal. DUI crashes can bring about injuries that result in lifetime handicaps, and in many cases, the drunk drivers walk away unscathed.

Oklahoma workers' compensation: Can I file a third-party claim?

You went into work just like any other day. After clocking in and checking your schedule, you got in your work vehicle and started about your day. While on your way to your first appointment, a car ran through a red light and slammed into you. You were hurt pretty severely, but many of your losses are being taken care of through your workers' compensation benefits. Your question is, though, "in Oklahoma, can I file a third-party claim against the driver who hit me?"

Noise at work affects your health

If you have ever attended a preschool birthday party at a kid-themed pizza restaurant in Oklahoma, you know the meaning of noise. There may have been several parties going on at once, and as the children consumed more sugar, the decibels rose. With the excitement of children's voices, the volume of the videos and music, and the relentless clamor of the arcade games, it is no surprise if you went home with a headache wondering how anyone could work in such an environment.

Help your kids avoid distracted driving accidents

Like many Oklahoma parents, if you are currently teaching someone how to drive, you may have already experienced a few urgent situations on the road where you were at risk for collision. Inexperienced drivers often make mistakes, sometimes minor ones, such as forgetting to use a turn signal when exiting a parking spot or pulling away from a curb; other times, new drivers may become distracted at the wheel or misjudge the distance between their vehicles and others, thus placing themselves and their passengers (or instructors) at risk for injury.

Oklahoma car accidents: Full coverage insurance may not be enough

You've done your due diligence and purchased a full coverage auto insurance policy. You think you are good to go. Then, it happened. You were involved in an accident with an uninsured motorist in Oklahoma and you come to find out that your full coverage policy may not be enough.

Losses suffered in car accidents with drunk drivers compensable

Are you one of the many Oklahoma residents who has been injured or lost a loved one in an automobile accident? Was the wreck caused by a drunk driver? Did you know that compensation may be sought for losses suffered in car accidents caused by drunk drivers?

Injured Oklahoma worker may file for worker's compensation

In large metropolitan locations such as Oklahoma City, there is no shortage of construction projects underway. Though the vast majority of these projects are completed without any major delays or work-related injuries, the potential always exist for a serious accident that can cause workers to suffer injuries that require extended time off of work. In these types of situations, the injured employee will often file for benefits through the worker's compensation program.

Did your employer's negligence cause your injuries?

Employers in Oklahoma are responsible for the health and safety of their employees. However, in some cases, the negligence of employers can be the indirect causes of on-the-job injuries for workers. If a co-worker's actions caused your injuries, you might be able to show that your employer was negligent.
