Oklahoma car accidents: Crash leaves 3 injured

On Behalf of | Apr 5, 2018 | Car Accidents |

Police in Oklahoma City are looking into a crash that left three people injured. This incident occurred the afternoon of March 28. The victims of car accidents may, according to state laws, have legal recourse.

According to a local news report, the driver of a truck is said to have struck a bridge, causing his vehicle to fall over to the street below. A car traveling on that street then collided with the truck. The force of impact sent the truck driver flying out of the vehicle. The two passengers in the car were trapped inside and had to be cut out by a rescue team. All three individuals were transported to a medical facility for treatment.

Little information has been released about the driver responsible and the victims. One of the car occupants is said to be in critical condition, as is the truck driver. The road was closed for some time while authorities worked the scene. It is unclear if any criminal charges will be filed in this case.

When car accidents happen, victims are likely to have a lot of questions regarding fault and seeking compensation. Not all accident cases are cut and dry on such matters. In this case, if the victims wish to pursue relief through legal means, it will be necessary for them to prove in an Oklahoma civil court that the driver of the truck was negligent in his or her actions resulting in the wreck. If they can do this, with the help of legal counsel, they may achieve monetary judgments in their favor.
